We believe that children are best served by keeping families together and safe. Our Prevention Program serves hundreds of youth and their families every year.
Specialized Case Management is available for families who self-identify that they are in need of intervention. It's a voluntary prevention service that provides help to families who are at-risk for out-of-home placement in foster care. Social workers provide need assessments, behavior plans and helps families connect with services. It includes regular meetings with a case manager and coordination with schools and other professionals. Parents can call us directly for more info.
High School Truancy Prevention programming prevents court involvement by offering case management services to support a youth's education and attendance. We work with local high schools to assess needs, make behavior plans and coordinate services. Most referrals come from the District Attorney's office but parents can call us directly for more info.
Resources Management Service/Financial Assistance provides limited funding to pay for direct services designed to prevent system involvement and state custody. We accept referrals for this assistance from outside-agency caseworkers on behalf of their clients. 99% of families served by Resource Management did not have a child come into state custody within six months of the case closing.
