Held at downtown Lawrence's historic Liberty
Hall during the holiday season, the annual Lawrence Festival
of Trees is the primary fund-raising event for The Shelter. Businesses,
families, housing groups and clubs donate Christmas trees that are displayed
for the entire Lawrence community to enjoy. These trees, decorated with
inventive and whimsical themes, are auctioned off at the gala Festival
of Trees party. At the end of the festival, the trees are delivered to
the buyers for their own display.
